I was half expecting an advert to follow
In the UK there's probably not a great deal of choice. Conventional universities don't normally offer courses based solely upon distance learning. It might be worth checking out the private universities and colleges (i.e. Buckingham University, Richmond University, Ashridge Business School, The ifs School of Finance, the College of Law and Regent's College) but the most obvious choice by far would seem to be the OU:

i'm not sure i agree chris. My husband is currently doing a "distance learning" masters through Portsmouth university
Apart from the well established and reputable Open University there are a couple of Master degrees and Doctoral degrees provided by "Laureate Online Education" in the name of the University of Liverpool: http://www.uol.ohecampus.com/ . These two at least are reputable Distance Learning Programmes.
You really need to look for the right course first and then the best place to study that course.
Most distance learning courses have some element of residency requirement, usually a number of weeks each year.
