I am thinking of making a claim. Last time I signed off was a couple of months ago, can't remember the last date. When or how long can someone be still eligible for a Rapid Claim ?

Oh and do they backdate claims these days ?
Backdating will only be allowed if you have a very, very good reason why you did not claim at an earlier date.

Has anyone found it difficult claiming JSA and temping ?

Like you're signing on and you are waiting for to be hired by your agency, but when you do get a temp placement for about a week then sign back on again ?

Has any one been through this ?
you don't have to keep stopping your claim if you don't have regular work. you can just declare it when you go to sign on, and your benefit will be adjusted for that period.
If it's over 16 hours in one payment week (which ends with the day of the week upon which you 'sign'), Sara3, you can't simply declare it. You have to 'sign off' and then sign on again (under the 'rapid reclaim' system) when you're no longer working for at least 16 hours per week.

you could do with trying some pleases and thank you's.

in the meantime, I'll google that for you but you're either single or part of a couple.

you could have done that in 1 minute yourself, seeing as you're in such a hurry.

"Thank You"
A Rapid Reclaim for JSA can be made if you're caiming within twelve weeks of the previous claim and there's been no change in circumstances. This is usually a claim ending because of employment and that employment then comes to an end.
