He is already paid over than national minimum but was asking me if his wages could/would/should increase?
(for example NMW say £6.50/hr and is paid £7/hr
turns 25 and NMW goes to £6.90/hr, would it be wrong to ask for wages to go to £7.40/hr)?

those figures are just an example and the 'he' is the older alba, just curious and would appreciate thoughts/comments, thank you

I think a politely worded request on passing that milestone would be in order.
as they say in show business, don't ask, politely mind, don't get... would say a nice letter backing up the request wouldn't go amiss.
As we say up here: Shy bairns get nowt.
In any event the NMW at 25 is now £7.50 p.h.

thank you each of you.

Did suggest to him to ask, he's going to have another try tomorrow.
