Is it that simple that you can get yourself on a TEFL course, get your certificate and head off to the likes of Thailand and find yourself a job ???
You hear stories that it is but i just cannot see it being so easy. Im heading off to Thailand anyway towards the end of year to travel and i hear about these teaching opportunities. Im not from a teaching background, ive also not a degree in any field. So all i have is my fluent English tongue.....and some common sense!!!.....so if i added an intensive Tefl course to this, would this be enough for potential employers ????

Hey Jimbo,

It is that easy! Generally all you need is a TEFL course, however for some countries (like Thailand unfortunately) you'll also need a degree. However, in a lot of countries, like China and Ecuador, you can teach without a degree.
