I have recently finished a NVQ2 in child care learning and development, and would like to work part-time in a primary school as a teaching assistant, but do not know the best and most direct way to do this, can anyone help?

look on the job websites for your local council under education. Alternatively contact all the schools in your area directly to enquire about vacancies.

Lil O'lady

Lots of local newspapes also carry teaching asst and classroom asst jobs as well as offical listings from the council.
It's also worth writing directly to headteachers with your CV. The worse they can say is no.
