Complaint at work!!!

When at work a group discussion was going on about ramadam, i expressed an opinion which was that all religion is a contradiction and i dont agree with it. Somebody in the room was offened by this and now i'm looking at being disciplined for it, surely if the comment wasnt aimed at this person it cant be wrong to say this can it? Can you have an opinion at work nowadays?
