Can I claim insurance on my Mastercard if I have been sacked?

I was dismissed after 1.5 months into my 6 months probation period in a permanent role. I was told to leave at the end of the day, basically given 15 min notice. I was accused of bullying, which was untrue and very wrong but wasn't given opportunity to defend myself. I was also given dismissal letter stating 3 reasons for dismissal: bullying, not able to work well with people and not meeting a single criteria in my job description, which was also terrible lie and meant to hurt and humiliate me. People get away with having really done things but at least the dismissal letters are discreet - as by the law employer doesn't have to even state the reason. My letter was meant exterminate me really badly. I didn't appeal as the person who wrote it in the first place had an agenda and would not have overruled his own 'script'. It was done on purpose knowing that potentially I will have to show the letter in Jobcentre, to insurance etc. I wonder how the bank will see it and will I be able to get the insurance?

I assume you mean some type of payment protection plan?

In which case, no you almost certainly can't claim, they tend to only be claimable on if you are out of work through sickness or redundancy, they don't cover you if you leave of your own accord or are sacked.

But your best bet would be to read the policy.

So it was even worse extermination that I realised then, with long lasting effect. I guess I need to post my next question under a different section now, but probably this would be only a rhethorical question:
What can I do now? Even back then I could not claim unfair dismissal as I have been employed for only over a month. Now I will most likely suffer financial consequences of already torturous dismissal - and there is nothing on earth to hold the employer responsible...
You said probationary period, so strictly speaking you weren't dismissed from employment, but from a trial period pending employment. that's the way I see it anyway.

Whatever you call it, I was not entitled to raise my dismissal with Employment Tribunal. Ever more the pain of the overall experience, now that most likely I am not to get the insurance. CF was probably right.
Yes, with less than a year's service they can sack you for almost any reason, although they should give appropriate notice or at least pay you your contractual notice.
