My car was damaged around three weeks ago. A football left a football grounds and ended up landing on my bonnet of my parked car on my driveway. I have had a quote which is expensive and the car needs a new bonnet. The club is admitting liability and has it's own liability insurance policy.

It's been three weeks since the incident and I haven't heard a thing from the insurance company. I am wondering on whether the club should pay for the damages and then seek the money back from their insurance company? I know insurance companies do not like paying out but I want my car fixed asap.

Might there be a problem if they ask you to prove the damage was caused by the football cr?

The ball was found next to my car, mud on the bonnet with a dent. I took some photos of the ball which had the club's name on. They collected the ball and admitted it was theirs. It is a very common occurrence of the football leaving the grounds and hitting cars.
