my friend is a 22 yr old girl who drives a little vauxhall corsa, 1.2, no modifications, 4 yrs no claims bonus and her insurance has gone up from £500 to £800 which she can't afford. she's tried confused.com and money supermarket.com but cant get it any cheaper.

any ideas?

Have you tried Swift insurance, my son had a quote for £500ish it was cheaper than his previous one, he is nearly 22 yrs, he has a Ford Focus. What about Elephant, they are for females only I think.

Sheila's Wheels are principally for female drivers too. Insurance rates have gone up for a lot of people, at this renewal!

Don't know if Diamond are still around, my daughter got a good deal a few years back from them. They are a female only.
