Car Accident

I was involved in a car accident recently, now here is the confusing part.

I had sciatica due to a herniated disc. Now after the accident it is 100 times worse. I have tried all painkillers, paracetemol, codiene, diclofenic, diazepam nothing works. The only thing that works is etodelac or someting. Which is an anti inflamatory whis shrinks my disc and takes the pressure off the sciatic nerve.

I believe this accident has herniated the disc even more and was wondering if this would affect my compensation claim as I have to now have surgery on my back.

The other side will claim that your existing sciatica would have deteriorated in any event and so would your herniated disc - they will say it wasn't the accident that exacerbated your condition,

Unless your medical reports can categorically state this isn't so, that your existing condition would never have worsened and your suffering is much worse solely because of the accident, then your compensation claim will either be significantly reduced or will fail.

I went to see a consultant physiotherapist and a doctor both said that in their opinion the accident has worsened my condition and caused my ongoing symptoms.
