can you pay house insurance monthly as i live in a flat and i am moving out in two months so I dont see why I should pay for the full year.

what about the new place you are moving to,does that not need to be insured.
Yes you can but the contract is usually for 12 months.

Google for short term home insurance if you have no intention of transferring the insurance to your new address.
