After the car crash I posted about, it now looks certain that my wife has suffered damage to her neck and upper spine. Anyone have a compensation firm they can recommend?

I found it very straightforward to do it myself, provided you do some research and have a good idea of a reasonable amount to claim. The claims companies will take a share somehow, but they are very aggressive and may press for a better deal than you would, and certainly the insurers know they are no pushovers. I'm not sure now whether DIY is still the best option
Pannone Manchester but they are expensive....
compesation firm - no I would do solicitors
If it was 100% not her fault I would go to a normal solicitors.
I didn't read it properly and assumed it was just whiplash. DIY is fine for minor whiplash where a few thousand pounds will satisfy you but if there is upper spine injury too I would go for someone like Panones as it could be a large claim (loss of future earnings, need home help to do ironing/cleaning, need car adapting, need new bed, etc etc)
There are so many these days!
No win no fee, cash advance when you make your claim etc etc... They are fighting for your business. They will however, push for maximum amount so their share is bigger.

The other party has accepted 100% responsibility. The main injury seems to be an aggravation of previously existing arthritis to the spine. Not sure how badly she will be affected, at worst she could end up in a wheel chair but I hope it will not come to that.
Eddie, I'm very sorry to hear about your wife's injuries. I don't know about compensation firms but I do know of an extremely good 'expert witness' firm that will assess the full extent of your wife's injuries & what compensation she will need. As they work all over the country I'm sure they would be able to recommend a solicitor in your area who deals well with her sort of situation.

Have you got legal expenses cover on your car insurance? If so, they are the ones to deal with the claim for personal injuries and consequential losses.
Hi Eddie, at this time my Solicitors " Connection Partnership" Manchester, It's a NO WIN basis, I got knocked over by a taxi driver last year, if you incurr any expenses, keep all receipts & out of pocket expences.
