I have a can of half filled paint and need to get rid of it, it doesn't seem right to but it into the reycycling bin or the normal bin in case of spillage, any ideas?

Our local recycling tip takes old paint. Do you have one near you?
What colour is it ?
with us you have to take it to the reycling centre if its not water based, if its water based, knot it into a bin bag without holes in lol, and toss it in the wheely. If you can be bothered to leave it somewhere with the lid off for a week or so the top will set into a thick seal.
offer it round at work or in the pub for 50p. that always works for me.
where do you live?

or try freecycle, or our local tip takes them if you leave the top off and let them dry out
Bury it in your garden, it will disintegrate over time.

Not that I know of squarebear but thanks.
Woofgang thanks, actually the paint has been in the cupboard for a long time so maybe it's dried out already, I'll go and have a look.
freecycle. a totally insane couple in there mid 60s will turn up in a V reg Honda Accord with a roof rack and take it off your hands with the intent to 'car-boot' it along with a whole plethora of free junk they've collected. Gotta love the state pension.

Thanks for all answers.
if its red, paint the town
Put it on eBay?
Leave it open in the attic; the fumes will ward off wasps & most mammals
