Hi all

I've got a major problem with my webmail service that making life very inconvenient right now. I use mail.com as my webmail service and after I sign in to my account, I click on the "inbox" to see a list of messages received. When each of these messages is clicked on, the message normally opens in a new window. For the last couple of days, clicking on the message title results in nothing happening. No new window opens either in the inbox or sent box folders. There's not even a bar on the bottom of the screen showing the progress of the task. The "settings" and "help" options on the top toolbar also fail to open when clicked on.

My preferred web browser has always been Firefox and this is the browser that the the problem occurred in. Tonight, I tried IE8 to see if I could open my messages there. I was astounded to see that my messages open normally in IE8. I can only conclude that this must be something to do with Firefox, but there's no mention of the problem when its Googled.

I use Vista with Avast AV and Comodo Firewall. I don't know where to begin looking in the Firefox settings to resolve this problem and I'd be grateful for any help.

Thanks guys.

Nearly all Firefox problems can be fixed by simply re-installing the program. There's no need to unistall Firefox first, just run the installation program again. All of your bookmarks and preferences will be retained and your problem should disappear.
