Well, I was on the net last night (at Midnight),when we had a power failure.
It has only now (at 3pm) come back on.
As we are an all electric (inc cooking) house, and the pump for the (oil) central heating is electric, you will realise we have been rather cold.
Due to quite a lot of snow(at both ends) none of our family could get to us,so we have been huddled together round the log fire,or cuddled up in bed.
Elsie doesn't give out much heat,I really must get a couple of younger models! LOL
Anyway,my extremities(don't ask) are warming up nicely now;but I keep wondering if it's going to go off again?
BTW,when you ring EDF Energy (from here near Hastings) where do you get answered from?
Ipswich!
I suppose that is par for the course.
SO going to have tea toast etc now, just in case in goes out again.
If I doesn't I shall grace you all with my presence this evening!
Take care of yourselves.

and you Mr V

i'll lend you murph if you like she's a very good hot water bottle well not that good as she does jab her claws in if you move, but she keeps you warm!
Mr V have you been snowed in as Bexhill /Hastings have had loads of it ?
Question Author
theonlyone,
Yes,due to the fact that we live in a narrow country lane(that goes up and down a lot) the snow blows into drifts.
It's supposed to be warmer tommorrow,so it may melt a bit?
Luckily the freezer is well stocked,so as long as the electric stays on,we won't starve!
Question Author
mccfluff,
I am not sure if murph is a cat,or a female?LOL
We have two cats, but they sleep where THEY can keep warm, selfish things!
