work properly it will only shredd 1 piece of paper at a time, when it feels like it and is making a strange noise It's not been overloaded as far as I know and hasn't really been used that much.

Is it time to recycle it? or is there anyway to mend it?

Thanks that's what I thought but thought I'd check first. I'll wait til there is one on offer and send hubby to shred everything at work!!
Hold it... holdit! Be sure to check your instruction booklet (you do still have it, don't you?)

Said booklet will give you information on lubricating requirements for paper shredders. Follow the intructions and be amazed at the reaction by your thankful shredding machine... (Can't hurt, can it?)

Oh Yes me I have instruction booklets for everything I've ever bought (according to hubby) just a case of finding where it's filed away. Will look it out later. Thanks
just light a bonfire & have a burn-up. Cook some sausages as well - where's the bbq?
Question Author
Not really suitable for a bonfire though you can't even put it in the wheelie bin either
Is ther a staple or something caught up in it?
Question Author
Nothing caught up in it and apparently hubby has been oiling it once a month with "Shredder" oil - whatever that is - not that I've seen him and he didn't say when I told him shredder wasn't working.

Guess I'll have to get a new one.

Thanks everyone
