recycling furniture

i have a pine drssing table and a headboard, both in top condition, just taking up room. i need to get rid of them asap as im wanting to decorate, dont want any money for them, and dont want to pay anything to get rid of them. is there anyone i can get in touch with who would recycle the furniture or give it to a good home? i live in cumbria

I have just signed up with my local "Freecycle" who you can advertise with. Just google freecycle to find your local one. You have to sign up and be approved first but it is well worth it.

Where I work had an old piano that they wanted rid of, but it was too heavy to take to the dump - put it on freecycle and got ten calls within 24 hours and it was collected the next day.

There is also something called cheapcycle - similar but you are allowed to charge for stuff (up to �500 I think). They both also have 'wanted' ads.
