A light spray of hairspray will do it.

You can buy an anti static spray from most supermarkets or Superdrug. M&S used to sell antistatic underskirts but that was some time ago.

ok cool, will it work on silk? I have bought dress for a wedding and when I stand up it sticks to my bottom looking like Ilve accidently tucked it in my knickers :-)

If you can wash the dress you should use fabric conditioner and use moisturiser on all the places it sticks (mainly your legs for a guess).
