I was thinking of getting an ipod and was wondering how do you load songs on them.

Thanks.

follow the instructions you get with it.
jeez, he was helpfull eh?!
basically, you download the 'i tunes' software, then spent about 10 mins per CD loading them into that software, and then when you connect the ipod to the computer you synchronise them.
Alternatively, find a mate that's done all that and copy his songs onto yours. instructions on this can be found online but just think of your ipod as a glorified flash drive. good luck
Don't worry dan no1, once you get it the instructions are easy to follow . Even I managed it so I am sure anyone can.
If you buy a non-Apple mp3 player (exactly the same as an ipod but not made by Apple) you can use Windows Media Player to Rip your cds to your hard drive.

When you connect your mp3 player to the usb port you open Media Player, and click Synch.

If you download music from the internet to your hard drive, these can be added to your Windows Media Player library and then on to the mp3 player.

If you do decide to use the Windows Media Player (it suits me!) be careful to choose the best format to rip the cds- there is a lot of choice.

The default is WMA, which plays fine on my Creative Zen, but you can choose mp3, WAV and audio. And you can choose the bit rate too - the higher the bit rate, the better quality.

It sounds complicated but is really very easy. I suggest you have a go at ripping a cd now, and you will see how quick and easy it is.

i am also having problems with the new version of windows media player and my mp3 player.
1. how do i find the list of music on my player?
2. i have tried to put oasis on, it shows thats its playing but theres no sound and the graphics on my screen are all jerky.

the version before was great, i could add and remove songs really easily but this version is a complete nightmare for me.
waa hay got it sorted. the pc was protecting the cd during ripping so it couldnt be copied. ive now sorted it and i now have oasis in my ears.
