I broke my microwave plate & i had an old one, but it doesnt fit properly & sometimes moves about because the spinner thing isnt grabbing it.

So i wondered what i could use to make it fit better?

Ive considered blutac, hot glue, bostick etc etc but i dont imagine theyll do too well in the heat, & might melt, or give off fumes or burn etc.

Does anyone know what i could use that will definitely be fine?

I was thinking of slicing a piece off a floppy Silicone cooking mat...?

(I couldnt find a spare online & dont want to be spending loads on it)

So any other ideas?

Thanks :)

Can't help really but I saw one of those plates for sale yesterday in a charity shop. Might be worth having a look in any that are near you.

Thanks, but the plates are all different - i have 3 spares an none fit right :(

RepairClinic is a website that helps you locate the right turntable plate based on your microwave's model number. https://www.repairclinic.com/Shop-For-Parts/a6/Microwave-Parts
Only glass and items known to be food-grade + microwave-safe should be put into a microwave. Other materials have the potential to overheat and/or release toxic fumes.

I don't throw money around but I wouldn't begrudge £150 for a brand new combi microwave.

Be a shame to ditch a perfectly good microwave for the sake of a few quid
