I have repeatedly clicked on the Unsubscribe button over the past week or so but their messages keep on coming trying to get me to buy from them.  The only thing they've persuaded me to do is make sure I never ever do buy from them. So annoying I hope someone can help.

Thank you.

block it on your email.

Can you email them and ask them to take you off the mailing list?

Or...block the emails.

no tilly not the way, if you do that they'll be even worse.

Why?

Because they will know their emails are being read .

Just block them. If you don't know how, tell us that email you use

18:27 because they'll know it's a real email.

Thanks TTT and Tills. I'm afraid I've already dropped a clanger then as I've emailed them and asked them to stop.  They're probably closed at the moment but I guess this is set up to keep on coming.  I can't remember how to block emails on my Applemac but I'll try.  Can't remember much at all nowadays. xx

you should have a facility to label it as junk, it will then auto go in your junk folder and be auto deleted after a couple of weeks or so.

Is this a genuine company?

It could be a spam email made to look like its from the genuine company.  If so unsubscribing will just confirm to the spammer that your email address is live, and they mail email from different addresses, so blocking won't work.

If its a genuine email, look on their website for a genuine contact email address, or even a web chat, and contact them that way.  You can alos say that you've repeatedly done the unsubscribe - lay it on thick.

I get emails suposedly from B&Q, Screwfix, M&S, Boots etc. all claiming that I've wone a prize.

Often tell by the true incoming e-mail address if it's likely to be genuine.  (May have to right click on the apparent address, or something, to find it.)

The only ones you unsubscribe to are those you have bought from and agreed they may keep you informed.

Thanks Barry yes it does help.

It is a genuine well known company.  I had to choose one of two and I picked the other.  Think it's sorted now so thank you everyone.

It's back again scream!  OK, it's Thompson & Morgan.  How do I get rid of it permanently please.

I bet they have used a slightly different email address.  Follow the instructions in my link again

Oh, Thompson and Morgan. I recently ordered some items from them (including some rather nice gardenia plants) and kept getting several emails a day. I eventually "unsubscribed" And have heard nothing since.

I don't use .icloud email very often but I have just had a look at at on my iPad and unfortunately it seems the only option is to block it as described in my link.

I favour GMail that allows me not only to block the full email address, for example, [email protected]  but to block @Barry10.org.   That blocks every email sent from that domain and works very well.  iCloud's method would still allow [email protected], offers@Barry 10.org etc.

(Obviously @Barry10.org is not my real domain)

Gingeb I was buying plants on line and chose J Parker's instead.  My Philadelphus is in glorious bloom at the moment and smells wonderful.  Son and his OH were admiring it and I thought I might buy them one.  IF I buy it from T&M perhaps I could get the same result as you.  I know I said I wouldn't but...

Barry I can't do the first instruction on the link you gave me ie a blue oblong. I dont have one.

Just open your mail app and follow on from there:

Select a message from the sender you want to block.

Move the pointer next to their name in the message header, click the arrow, then choose Block Contact.

The blocked icon  appears next to the sender’s name in the message list and a banner is added to the messages in the list to indicate they’re blocked. The banner also provides a link to the Blocked pane of Mail settings, where you can manage blocked senders.
