Ok 'er indoors had a bag full of old coins that our grandson was looking through and we found this:
Now it's a thrupney bit but normally they are brass coloured but this one is coloured silver. Not to be confused with the small round silver thrupney bit.
Any ideas? It's 1964, was there a special issue?

I wonder if someone was messing about with silver plating to turn it into an ornament. Having been taught about electroplating at school I tried it with copper sulphate and low voltage batteries.
