The Greedy And The Needy

It’s time we made a stand,
To fight against the greedy.
Something has to be done,
To help the poor and needy.

The poorest people today,
That are strapped for cash.
They’re not pitied anymore,
But instead treated like trash.

To a decent standard of living,
Everyone has the right.
At the end of every tunnel,
There should always be light.

The selfish and the greedy,
Just want more and more.
Against the rich and poor,
It’s the same old war.

Today in our society,
We can’t keep on ignoring.
That many people are left behind,
Because the cost of living is soaring.

We live in a country,
Where the wealth is vast.
It is time we made poverty,
A thing of the past.
