This is a stupid question but that kind of detail has never stopped me before. Can I retrieve a word processing document that I did not save? Didn't take copy and of course now I need to refer to it. Appreciate any help. From: one dumb blonde

as far as i know if you didn't save it it's gone :-(
If you have a smart watch, you can travel back in time and save it before closing your word processor.
Do you have Autosave on?
File > Options > Save

You can check a box to say "Keep last auosaved version if I close without saving,"
