I am sure someone will correct this if I am wrong but if nitro refers to an engine then it will be Glow Fuel with added nitro methane. This needs a 2v ?supply to the glowplu as the engine is cranked over. Once started remove the supply and igition is self sustaining
Agree my answer is same as Sarah_Louise if you mean the two stroke engine bit regardless of the radio control bit. I dont think they have radio controlled starter systems yet do do they.

make sure the nitro mix is right. if too low, increase air intake. Make sure glow plug is working and clean. u may have to replace it.

yep, there is a glow plug on top of the engine, there are special ignitors for this at any hobby shop. once the ignitor is attatched the motor can then be started. there are a few ways to do this, either by pulling a cord on the sied of the engine, electric start ( replaces the pull cord ), or with a bump starter that you set the car on top of and push down. pushing down activates a large rubber wheel that contacts the flywheel on the bottom of the car.
