Has anyone used ao.com to buy a domestic appliance? My small fridge has packed up, and the cheapest I can find with an icebox (£119) is with them. Should I go ahead, or pay more elsewhere?

Seem to do OK on trustpilot.

I got a fridge/freezer from AO recently - Hisense - very pleased with it (so far), paid £30 for next day delivery & £20 to remove the old one.
That does seem cheap. You got a good buy here.
I wouldn't use anyone else. I first bought a dishwasher from them. It was delivered the next day but when we unpacked it we discovered I'd ordered the wrong one.. one that wouldn't fit the door of the kitchen cupboards. Entirely my error. I rang them and explained, and the chap waited on the phone whilst I chose another that would fit. That was delivered the next day and the 'mistake' taken away together with all the packaging. No arguments, no fuss, just superb service. Second to none. I would recommend them highly.
Do you really need an icebox? Larder fridges without are a better bet.
Ao. are a decent place to buy...Which? rates them quite highly.
We bought a chest freezer from them a couple of months ago - out first purchase from them. Excellent service; good price and kept up-to-date with delivery. We shall certainly use them again.
I have used them on several occasions and found them to be excellent, would use them again.
Used them a fair bit when we refurbed a few years ago (they were called Appliances Online then), they are very good as said but you do have to watch out that any models you are comparing elsewhere are exactly the same as they do have the previous model quite often and with the alphabet of model numbers it's sometimes difficult to tell :-)
I used them a couple of years ago when both my undercounter fridge and washing machine packed up. Very fast and efficient...though I did discover I could have gotten the washing machine for about £20 less locally.

Many thanks for the responses - definitely need one with an icebox as I have no freezer! Just remembered I have a £100 gift card for Amazon, so will have a look and see if I can buy something similar through them.....
Re pasta's comment...I agree about trying a local independant store.
When we purchased a Miele washer some years ago, a local retailer matched the John Lewis price and got the machine delivered the next day (JL couldn't get the machine for over a week).
Also, it's a good idea to do your own research and have a shortlist of, say, three models that you might like...model numbers can be long and confusing!
Splurge...and get a small freezer too!
I'd be lost without one...I don't know how anyone could manage without.
^completely agree, pasta. Absolutely essential here!
Used them to about three years ago when I had my kitchen refitted. Fridge, upright freezer, integral washing machine and dishwasher all supplied at a good price and delivered promptly.
AO is a reliable company. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them
Bought my daughter a new washer from them last year. Best price available on the model she wanted and superb service.
Amazon has one for the same price Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation
Ordered a dish washer from Amazon last September only to find it was from ao.com and was delivered by them. Since had a washing machine from ao.com. They disconnected the old one, took it away and installed the new one which was not any easy job. Great service and would definitely recommend them.
