It was OK 20 minutes ago and in all my years using Macs I have never had this happen. I haven't even got the Apple icon that sits at the top of the L/H side of the screen or Help, History, Edit etc. Grrrh. Anyone help please?
I use Safari if that makes a difference.

Thanks Dave, but which is the Apple key please?
By the spacebar on the left

The "Apple key", also known as the "Command key" is a key available on every Mac keyboard. It is usually labelled with the Apple logo and a cloverleaf sign - on some keyboards also just with the word "command".

Thank you very much Dave, that's done it.
You'd accidentally gone into 'full screen' mode - probably by clicking the green blob at the top left of the safari screen.
Question Author
Chris thank you, that key on mine has got 'cmd' where the Apple sign is on yours. But yes, Apple/Command, I get it. Cheers.
Question Author
Dave yes, of course, the Full Screen blob. Doh!
