Hi everyone,

I’m someone can help me with a query in connexion with a question with satellite signal unavailable messages I am getting on 3 sky sports channels, 403, 405 and 409. The other six 401, 402, 404, 406, 407 and 408 operate as normal. The odd thing is, the three channels I tend to tune into tend to be 403, 405 and 409!!!

There was no bad weather in the area that has caused a loss of signal on the odd, rare, occasion.

I have had a conversation with Sky and the chap I was speaking to could not explain what I could do to resolve the problem. Instead, he merely did his level best to flog me a Sky Q box. At no time did he explain why 6 of the 9 channels were operating satisfactorily. His advice was “Pull the plug out, leave it our two minutes and see what happens when you plug back in”

So did you try pulling the plug out? It does work for a lot of blips with Sky. I couldn't access Catch-up a few days ago, did the plug pulling out thing, and then it was fine.
Yes , pull the plug

the Plug was indeed pulled out (and left for three minutes as advised) but alas the “N0 Satellite signal” message was still appearing. However, approx 1 hour later, all 3 channels are back as normal.
That's great Sylvia. Sky does sometimes move in mysterious ways!! We've sometimes left a problem overnight, only to find it's OK in the morning.

Irritatingly, the same thing has happened this morning. The same message ( No satellite signal is being received) is showing up again.
