Is it possible to keep your number if you move to sim only? If so which would you recommend? Nowadays I barely use the phone so sim only seems the way to go.

Can't see why not. Numbers are only associated with SIMs, so SIM-only shouldn't be any different.

Thanks O_G. So, any you would recommend?
Yes you can do that, I'd ring around the different companies and see who'll give you the best deal , for example Gig etc
Question Author
Cheers for that Bobbisox1. I'll have a look around and see whats going.
yes just ask your operator for your puk code

i have just got a sim only deal from virgin
triple data for life
2000 minutes unlimited texts and 6 gig
£8 a month
I have quite a good tariff with ee FOR £11.50.
Question Author
That seems a good deal johnny.5. Although I wouldn't use anywhere near that. Still it's worth considering.
if you are a sky tv customer you can probably get an even better deal

Crikey thats cheap hc. Do they have a good reputation do you know?
Yes Dky dies, I'm with them ( contract) but have had no bother at all with them, give them a call
Eh????
That was supposed to read Yes they are......
Question Author
Sorry, that was to your first link. The second one I have heard of.
Question Author
Apologies again. That was to hc. I'll have to learn to type faster.
Both of those companies are fine, I'd go with the second one simply because they use EE and I get better coverage in the places I use my mobile.
Neither are contracts and can be cancelled any time so are worth a go :)
Pointless paying more if you aren't going to use the benefits.
I would have recommended GiffGaff but they have increased their prices recently and are no longer competitive for the infrequent user.

I've been on the same deal for years now, not bothered to change, as it suits me. So not up to date with the market and can't really recommend any in particular.
Question Author
Ok. Thanks again. I'll be looking into all that straight away.
