Amex Pin Coincidence ?

I got 2 Amex nectar cards for me and wife.My wife received her her pin , but i had to request mine as i didn't receive it.
However, when i got my pin it was the same one i use for my Amex reward card. Coincidence ???

Sounds like they may have converted the Amex reward to Amex Nectar. Under that circumstance the PIN would remain the same.

Could be but afaik they are separate accounts

Well there must be loads of numbers they will not allow, so you have perhaps a 1 in 9000 chance of getting identical ones by chance.

Someone must have this happen then.
