Is it possible to re-straighten a warped  snooker cue? if so, how?

In my opinion I don't think it would be possible, as cues are machined on a lathe using straight grained timber. A piece of timber that has warped through age or change in atmospheric conditions would have to be re-machined, which is clearly impossible with a snooker cue.

I may be wrong though, I am just going on my experience as a wood machinist.

I am fairly sure it is possible to do, but is most likely an expensive process and has to be done professionally.Some years ago I recall someone telling me that it can be done by stripping the varnish from the wood,then the cue is held in some sort of vice whilst vast amounts of steam is sprayed onto the cue.I dont know how true this is though.
Hang on to it as it is. It will be handy for those tricky swerve shots!
