Hiya
I want to add text to my pictures. How do I do this, is there an app or software? I want to advertise on ebay and facebook, and need to put information on each photograph. Please tell me if you know how to, would make my life so much easier at work. xx

Assuming that you're using a Windows PC (rather than, say, an iPad or or an Android tablet), you've already got the program which you need. It's called Paint and you can find it from Start > All Programs > Accessories. Open your picture in Paint and click on the 'Text' icon. (It's a letter 'A'). Assuming that you're using a Windows PC (rather than, say, an iPad or or an Android tablet), you've already got the program which you need. It's called Paint and you can find it from Start > All Programs > Accessories.
Open your picture in Paint and click on the 'Text' icon. (It's a letter 'A').
Click roughly where you want your text to appear.
The default setting is to type text diectly onto the image (in 'Transparent' mode) but you'll probably find it easier to have a solid background colour. So click on 'Opaque'.
You'll see 'Color 1' and 'Color 2'. The former is the colour of your text. The latter is the colour of the box behind it. To change a colour, click on the one you want to change and then on the appropriate colour.
Choose your font, and its size, from the boxes on the left.
Type your text.
To change the size of the box, drag the handles on its edges and corners.
To change text you've already typed, drag your mouse over it to highlight and then select the new font, size or colour.
To move the box you're typing in, hover your mouse over the box until you see a 4-headed arrow symbol and then click-&-drag.
Save your image using the same menu that you used to open the file.
