I did put this question chatterbank. but no reply. I have a Neon (Morrisons) 32" TV. Fine, but lately it doesn't +come on until about twopm. So I get no morning tv. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, can you tell me how you solved it. Answers would be much appreciated. Thanks.

What do you mean,'it doesn't +come on until about twopm. So I get no morning tv'?

Will it not actually switch on, at all before 2.00 pm?
I had this problem. We had sound and no picture then after a while the picture would come on. So we left it on when we went out and checked the electric to see that it was only using about 2p more per day. We left it on for about 2 and half years until it gave up completely.
marbert you are not too precise with the problem. When you say 'it doesn't come on' do you mean that it is stuck on standby?
I don't understand either. Are you saying that you can't turn the TV set on until the afternoon.? What happens if you push the on/off button / power switch in the morning? Some TV s have a timer that turns the TV off after a set time unless you press a button on the remote control, could it be something to do with that?
I'd think Eddie may be on the money. It has a sleep timer. See if some setting has been added to make it not come on until or after a certain time.
Had a quick google this manual is for 23" model but that's only screen size. Manufacture is Cello electronics user manual is in link you need to look at page 11 for remote control bottom row is where timer button is

marbert if you cannot rectify the problem using the remote programmer you may need technical help. If the tv is out of warranty Morrisons will not want to know. You need your local independent tv repair man. The eprom chip has a history of causing a similar problem and can be reprogrammed using a screwdriver to short pins 5 and 6. Some eproms also can be erased with strong ultra violet light.
You need to change to a channel that starts broadcasting earlier than 2pm.
....or buy a decent TV. Supermarket "own-brands" are made down to a price and are seldom worthwhile purchases. (Which?)
