Does anyone know how to stops friends 'friends' posts from appearing on your Homepage? for instance Jane is my friend -I know her personally and like to keep up with what she's doing. She has Friends I don't know and who have views I really don't want to see on my Homepage . All of a sudden these peoples posts are appearing on my timeline -I now have posts from random 'friends of friends' some I really don't want to see and I've searched FB trying to find out how to stop it. Is there anyway or is this just another one of FB's helpful little things they've added without asking anyone?

Shaded arrow on right of their post allows you to hide/unfollow etc
I think her friends appear on your timeline if you're tagged or are involved in any of your friend Jane's posts, I'm unsure but I think it's all to do with tagging
As mentioned, when you friend someone, the default is to be following them. You need to tick the Unfollow button

I want to follow my friends -I don't want to follow their friends. If I click 'unfollow' then I won't get their posts on my Homepage (which I want) . The posts are not linked to threads on my friends FB pages I may have answered either -I've checked that. BTW its not just 'Jane' its most friends.
Hi Retrochic,as tamborine says, to the right of the post there is a shaded arrow pointing downwards where you can 'Hide Post' or 'Unfollow Jane' (which you don't want to do), or 'Hide all from (name of her friend)' so then you should stop seeing posts from that person. x
All of my friends are Unfollowed but I still get their posts on my page. I just don`t get notifications that one of their friends has posted on their page.
// so then you should stop seeing posts from that person.// when you click on that option.

237SJ Thankyou, I will try unfollowing people and see if I still get their posts and not their friends. Its very annoying and I'm seriously thinking of closing my account as this is becoming more and more invasive.
