Hello all

I'm hoping some of you NHS employees can help/advise me please.

I've been invited to a band 4 secretary job interview next week and I am very aware of the randomness of NHS interview questions and lay out. I've had a few interviews in the NHS before and have an idea of the format.

Anyone interviewed for a band 4 secretary role before? can you advise on questions asked?

Also there is a typing test but the role is within a Pharmacy office so I do not forsee having to type clinical letters etc. so any ideas on the format of the test would be helpful too.

Thanks all

for our band 4 admin interviews the test consists of being asked to put some data into an excel spreadsheet, and wrap some text and put some very simple formulae in. We also ask them to format some minutes into a standard form. There are some deliberate spelling mistakes which we do not inform them of, but would expect to see them corrected, even though we haven't asked them to do it..
Interviews tend to be competency based

I don't think so either, I have had many an interview and they are always different. The questions vary wildly too I find, I am just hoping this one is a straight forward relaxed interview. I am rubbish at them generally, great on paper but not so good on the day.
Gf.... Not sure if its nationwide but my NHS now have informal interviews which are all about the applicant & dont GRILL anyone anymore lol!!
