This is a straight question, not for opinions which can be placed on a multitude of other threads. How will we hear the result - will it be a yes or no on Thursday morning?? or will results from different areas dribble in through the night. ie How does the vote get counted and announced, anyone know?

They are reckoning on around 7am on Friday morning, but I think that is a bit optimistic. Lunchtime, I'd say.

Thank you jeffa, I think I can safely assume you know what you're talking about.
Depends who you talk to...
saw the lady who will announce it on TV tonight, it will be one announcement, not area by area and will be at some point on friday morning
That means they must be counting through the night. Hope they've got plenty stocks of Buckies to sustain them.
My understanding of what the same lady as woofgang mentions said a week or so back is that each area "is free to publish its result" once it has been verified by her and she does so result by result. She then is the one who makes the formal announcement of the overall totals and outcome (yes or no). During the same interview I got the impression that there will be some location where the media will be able to know the results and discuss them as and when they trickle into the public domain.
