Shower Fitting

I want to fit a basic shower fitting to my bath.
Nothing fancy I just would like tap connectors and a hose
connected to the wall with a shower rose to enable me to stand
in the bath.
I realise that water could spray onto the floor & I probably
should get some sort of curtain.

I don't think I need a plumber: is it something I can manage on
my own?
Any advice would be welcome.

Something like this might do the job (and should be simple enough to fit):

Then you'd just need something like this:

We've had the ones you attach to the taps, you spend most of your time putting it back on the taps. We ended up paying a bit more and putting on. Bath shower mixer taps, you can get them in Argos -

Sorry I have no idea how to do a link.
It did the job and very easy to fit, you would have to make sure you buy one to fit the existing tap hole.
Also need to check that you have the water pressure to enable one of these to work.
