Unfortunately FB doesn't allow you to upload audio files, but what you could do is turn each song into a video (using Win Movie Maker - you could just have a photo as the background) then upload to YouTube and put a link to it on FB.

It depends how the piece of music was put on the CD.

It may have been put there in "audio" format. This is the same format used by audio or music CDs you buy in the shops. If this is the case you need to put the CD in the computer, stop it playing, then "rip" the music off the CD using a product like Windows Media Player (which comes with Windows).

Before doing the rip you need to select "mp3" format (so it becomes an mp3 file) and make sure any digital protection is turned off.

The music will then become an mp3 file on your computer hard disk and you can go into facebook and add it similar to the way you may add a photo or piece of video.

Or it may be that the audio has been put on the CD as an mp3 file (possibly less likely) and if that is the case you can just upload it straight from the CD into facebook as an mp3 file.

thankyou but here is where I am such a thicko, how do I transfer the music from the disc to my laptop, I know I need to put the disc in the side slot, but what do I do then, forgive me for being so thick but I am 66 and not had any body to show me the ins and outs. WHF
Just seen answer before mine.

Did not know you could not upload audio to facebook, but the rest of my reply still applies for getting the audio off the CD into mp3 format.

Why chose "best answer" when you have only had one answer?

I have "rip" but I could not find where it said MP3, so I am now wondering how to get it on to MP3, at least all the 4 tracks on now on comp in media player, and I am sorry VHG, I had not seen your answer but they are both good answers. WHF
Go to Soundcloud.com upload the music & copy link to Facebook
