Hi, I;m not sure if this is the right section but we want to move and do our own packing to save some money. What packaging materials do the removal companies use for example packing plates and glass ornaments? Is it better to use bubblewrap or will ordinary newspapers do the job just the same?

When my mum moved a few years ago she got the removal people to pack up for her. They used brown(ish) paper. Not bubblewrap and not newspaper exactly but it was pretty much like newspaper in texture.
This job needs good & tight packing Val, depending how far you are moving, Glass & the likes need a paper wedge between each other to stop movement. Tabe legs need protection that is where I would use bubble, TV & the cost of them need to be realy well packed & that's where I would Def use plenty of bubble.
