there is nothing i like better on a sunday afternoon than to get warm on the sofa and read a book on my kindle. Mr b went into hosp this week and i lent him my kindle and downloaded a book he wanted to read onto it. Now he is taking ages reading it and i am in a very exciting point of my jack reacher book and want it back!
he was one of those "a kindle will never replace a book" people but has just asked me how easy it is to download things because when he's finished he'd like to download the next in his series!!!!! GGGRRRRRR

Are there many books you can get for free on this site? I have heard that some of the ebooks are almost as much as their paper counterparts.

Count yourself lucky he's not into quizzes and crosswords as well as reading. My friend's husband pinches her kindle to google answers!!

I love my kindle. I was also a "it'll never replace a book" person but I love the way when your eyes are tired, you can increase the size to make it easier, or, if very tired, let it read to you. Ditto the fact that you can have stacks of books on the go and switch from one to another in a moment.
