Opposite the Joiners Arms on Bishopton Road, Mumbles, Swansea there is a whole building which has been greyed out. Why would that be? I'm now so curious that if I lived nearer I would drive there just to find out! And the little yellow man who is stood in the middle of the road is no help, he doesn't speak!

Don't wish to start a conspiracy theory, but it could be an area classed under the official secrets act. There are quite a few around....
I am the same as spudqueen if i lived down there i would be having a look around :)
Is it perhaps the DVLA? That's the only thing that I could think that Swansea might wish to hide.
this is the correct answer-------------- the building is under construction---or getting repaired--- it has advertising boards( company) around it and google maps can not show advertising--- have a look at walls where you know there is a bill board--it will be blacked out
sorry i cant find this buiding i found the Joiners Arms on Bishopton Road I'm now so curious myself
it can't be secret it is opposite a pub and a school

if google have done it so as not to advertise, then why have they not blacked out Spar, the estate agents etc ?
strange---even a lads face showing at a bus stop=== he could sue them

^ I didn't realise that 'blurring' was a real word, you learn something new every day.
How about asking the "user" for thier permission to be photographed in the first place, rather than the "user" having to request it's "blurring"?

Thanks for that ABerrant. It does make me more curious though. I'm thinking of visiting Mumbles again next year (I used to go there on holiday a lot), so was just having an idle browse around seeing the places I remember (like the Joiners Arms!), and if I do I will now definitely go and see the blurry building!
At least it would keep the Post Office in business, AB.....

Excellent suggestion from Bob the Angler
