My daughter has a bouncy chair that vibrates and has a toy bar that sings and lights up. The batteries were left in it and leaked and the battery compartment has rusted. Is there any way of fixing it so that it works again the springs haven't corroded away and are still intact i feel that the rust is stopping the new batteries conecting. help!

you can scrape away the rust etc with a blade and file them with sandpaper or metal file and wipe away residue with wipes...then dry it out ... it still might not work - but i have fixed a few things this way
If the above suggested scraping isn't fully successful then try putting a bit of aluminium kitchen foil between the springs and the ends of the battery as the foil may just provide a bigger contact area.
