Have got some friends coming over tonight and have blown up a double air bed(one of the super duper ones, same height as a normal double bed etc) and have noticed that it is going flat. I have searched and searched for where the air is escaping but cant find anything. Anyone got any ideas of how to find out where its leaking, you inflate it by connecting it to electricity so cant really put it into water! Thanks

cover the whole lot in cellotape. Sorted
we have one of these, they're good aren't they (when they're not leaking of course)?
only thing i can think of is getting someone to sit on it and listen or feel very carefully for the air coming out under pressure.
Cover the entire thing in flour and see where it blows off.
i was just about to suggest talc. Will make it smell nice too after a good vacuum
Rather than a leak, could the whole thing have become porous?
Take it to your local swimming pool, sit on it and follow the stream of bubbles...
if there's no obvious hole I would inflate and then put something heavy on top if you have no one with you and check all the seals round the edges and where the pump is fitted. Is there a additional screw valve to allow you to deflate without having to use the pump set to 'deflate' if so check this is sealed properly to
Hi, had the same thing happen with mine. Once it turned out to be one of the valves that wasn't closing properly. The other it was very small leak and I did what what...the? said and got a couple of people to lay on it, put my face very close to the bed and moved around it until I heard the leak and felt the air on my face. Took a while but found it in the end.
Put a small amount of air in it, then fill your bath. See if you can put it in bit by bit and discover where the hole is, if it's not fully inflated it should be easy enough to manipulate bits of it in the bath!

Thank you all, I have found the leak, little tiny pin prick size hole, hoping a puncture repair kit will fix it for now!
So how did you find the leak in the end?
