Burnt on food stuck to hob.....

Can anyone suggest anything that will remove burnt on marks from my hob.
I have tried all the well known brand cleaners like Mr.Muscle, Cillit Bang and Lakelands own make but nothing is working.

I have always found Oven Mate, which I buy from Lakeland, works very well.

Wire wool and Cif is what I use but my hob is ceramic.It all depends on what sort it is.

If it's ceramic one of those blade things will get it off. Like this

Anything else, a brillo pad and Cif.

Leave some hot soapy water on the mark or a paste made with washing powder such as Daz for 5-10 mins and the wipe off
