I have purchased a quilt that is made up of two (joining together when needed) one is a 9.5
Yes, I have one like nellie's.

One piece is 13,5 and the other, I think, is about 4,0, or something.

In summer, I use the 4,0.

At the mo, I'm using the 13,5.

When it's really cold, I'll button them together and have 17,5.

Snuggly !!!

Sorry pressed button by mistake !!............. I have purchased a quilt which is actually two, which can be seperated of joined when needed one is 9.5 tog and the other 4.5 tog Making one suitable for Summer and together suitable for Winter. (Joining together by press studs) i find this to be ideal.

Thanks all - have ordered her a new 15 tog one from Argos - called an energy saver duvet cause you can switch your heating off and still be cosy!!! - we'll see!!!
Call me Mrs Obvious, but have you thought of thicker PJ's for your daughter?
I sold duvets 32 years ago and did a training course on them, back them there was duck down and goose down and then duckfeather, the polyester ones were the cheap rubbish , Duck down ones were the most expensive,, about £100 for a double, we were trained to explain that down and feather were inferior because the feathers would break over time, the duck down were the best as they weree the lightest, but warmest, usually 15 TOG, that was the highest or winter weight.
Course now, the synthetic fillings have raken over and are the most popular
Buy her a hot water bottle!
You could try putting a blanket or 2 on top of the duvet.
We are still all using 4 tog at annie towers! Eldest put his fleecy blanket on as well but youngest still complains he is too warm! We keep the heating off at night and leave the windows on the latch to air unless it is really windy!
