interesting hobbies?

anyone got any interesting hobbies?
i've never been a hobby person until fairly recently and i've taken up painting. am really enjoying it and have done 4 for various people who actually have them hanging on the wall....although i bet they get taken down after i've gone! i do abstracts and am currently working on a big canvas.
so, who's got the most interesting hobby?

Not so sqad. Mine is of no interest to anyone else but I enjoy creative writing for my own enjoyment (and that of anyone else too drunk to move out of earshot!)

sqad, we`ve got some really nice piccies on our work website of a hurricane and spitfire flying past the white cliffs of Dover the other day to commemorate the Battle of Britain anniversary. I don`t know how to put them on here though as I`m not that computer literate.

ignoring the wife's nagging is a favourite of mine! Seriously, I have recently started my own vegetable garden and as bits are starting to fall off in the house now, DIY, is more of a necessity than a hobby.

write poetry
Gardening
Dressmaking and freehand embroidery
Play on the wii
birdwatching
and cooking...so what I lack in quality I make up for with quantity

you play world of warcraft BOO?? one of my sons is really involved in it, he runs a forum about it. do you belong to any? in your opinion, which is the best guild? i don't think it's nerdy or geeky.
squad...just generally interesting really. not everyone thinks their own hobby is very interesting, i don't think mine is although i enjoy it. maybe the word should have been 'unusual' if we're going to split hairs here, and in that case, i think BOO wins so far ;) bomber command eh? that's fairly interesting.

Sqad. I`ll see what I can do. I don`t think I can forward anything on directly from our work site for security reasons (I can`t do it with my roster anyway) but I`ll see if I can save them then do it from there. Might not be today though but I will try

I don't really have a hobby but have a friend who is into roman soldier re-enactment stuff. He enjoys it.

Sqad - do you play games, collect history or ?? for the Bomber Command?

I make jewellery, mainly from silver wire and beads, and I'm a sometime amateur astrophotographer.
I won image of the month in Sky at Night magazine once. I could have burst with pride! :)))
I don't play WoW but I have been known to Second Life, and I like to make avatar clothes in photoshop.

wolf...No games. I collect items and have many books on Bomber Command and have been on many weekend tours of Bomber County (Lincolnshire)

No i haven't ethandron, I haven't even done the 10 man one yet either, lol. I haven't been on as much the last few months, new grandson, nicer weather etc, and the one night we as a guild did attempt the 25man lich king, we spent 3 hours wiping, i'm going to wait till the guild has him on 'farm' before I attempt it again, lol.

Sqad - sounds like a good hobby.

My dad was a train driver (1949 to 1990) and when he died would could hear him sniggering from heaven when we tried to look through his selection of train memorabilia when we were clearing out the house. I have a couple of keys to fit steam trains somewhere in the house.
