We seem, top have bees nesting in our brickwork in my house, mainly because the pointing is poor and leaves huge gaps in the mortar for them to come in and out.
Fortunately they have not yet come into the house, so I want to get rid of them humanely or have them go somewhere else not my cavity.. I saw a prog with Sarah Beeny recently where she put up little cylindrical nests to divert them.
I just need to know what time oif year to so this, are they seasoinal, do they hibernate, how do I know they've all gone from my cavity when I eventually do cover up the pointing.

don't kill the bees if possible look in your local yellow pages or the internet and you should find a local beekeeper who will be happy to take them away
They are probably Leaf Cutter Bees and are quite harmless and only build a nest inside the wall cavity. Just leave them alone.
Masonry bees.
Pretty harmless .. and they won't demolish the wall!
