My partner put on the machine this morning and the start light came on and went straight out and hasn't worked since. Power is getting to the machine. Any ideas please.

Check that it hasn't blown a fuse in the Mains Plug and also check whether one of your Circuit breakers has no tripped as well

It might be worth cleaning out the filter - it worked for me once.

Thx for the replies, it turned out to be the resistor which is a regular failing in these machines.
