I have quite a large gas barbecue with three burners. My worst nightmare would be to run out of butane while cooking. Anyone any tips on how to tell whats remaining or am I better off buying another cylinder as a spare

A takeaway for your hungry guests will cost more than a spare cylinder ... get a spare!

What`s the point of cooking on a gas BBQ anyway?

If you run out of gas cook the meat under the grill on your cooker
We have this here in the U.S. http://www.amazon.com...erature/dp/B000S2KVYK ... Perhaps you could find something like it in the UK...

Thanks for your constructive answers Eddie 51 and Clanad although your link doesn't have very good reviews. Have decided to keep a spare to be on the safe side.
