light weight sewing machine

I am aware of previous discussion more than a year ago about sewing machines, but have not found the point I would like to ask. There are many models advertised but they don't mention weight. In my household we have a very old Frister Rossmann 404 that hasn't been used for years because it is so heavy to keep lifting and carrying to a table. We need a fairly simple lighter weight one that will do just variable stitch lengths and zig-zag. Can anyone suggest one that might be suitable please?
